POINT Cook Football Club is kicking off its 10th anniversary in style, fielding a record 16 teams and enjoying its new $9 million complex at Saltwater Reserve.
As the swell of young families into Point Cook’s housing estates continues, under-14s coach Mark King says the club’s new home – fitted with three full-sized ovals – had come as a massive boost for players like Caine, 10 (pictured with coach John Moffatt).
“All the new facilities, grounds and bigger clubrooms make a huge difference,” King said, adding that spots were still available in junior teams, with the season to start on April 21.
“Our policy is if anybody wants to play footy, we’ll try and make space.”
