Children found in Point Cook drug lab raid

TWO Point Cook men with links to outlaw motorcycle gangs have been charged after police found a drug lab in a house where two young children were living.

A Point Cook man, 30, and a 36-year-old New Zealand national living in Point Cook were arrested by detectives at a house in Laverton at about noon on Friday.

Police allege that laboratory equipment used in the production of illicit drugs was found inside the house.

A four-year-old girl and 10-month-old boy were also found inside. Police said chemicals used in the production of drugs were also found at a house in Point Cook.

A police spokesman said both men would face Melbourne Magistrates Court charged with trafficking drugs of dependence, possessing precursor chemicals and other drug offences.
