Teach English to new Australians

WYNDHAM Council needs volunteer tutors to help develop conversational English classes for newly arrived migrants.

Tutors will be responsible for one-on-one tutoring sessions to teach participants about Australian language and culture.

The council will partner with education and employment services AMES to deliver the program.

Tutors will be supported with training in issues such as adult learning, the migration and settlement process, cross-cultural community, working with refugees, planning and developing teaching topics, as well as ongoing support.
