THEATRE-lovers will have the chance to experience one of Australian theatre’s greatest plays in Werribee from this weekend.
Werribee Theatre Company will stage performances of the 1992 Louis Nowra play Cosi at Crossroads Church on April 19, 20, 26 and 27.
The play is set in a Melbourne mental institution where the residents are convinced to take part in a performance of Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte.
Despite the venue, language barriers, a lack of operatic talk and the diverse needs of the patients, the performance eventually comes together.
The show stars WTC members including David Crothers, Ron Fenton, Nicole Gray and Warrick Smith (pictured).
Tickets are available from Gift Givers Gallery, 34 Watton Street, Werribee or on 0401 800 196.
