A HORSE-drawn coach rolled through Hoppers Crossing last week as part of a tour raising funds for research into childhood cancer.
Led by Dean Duyvestyn (pictured), the group of 20 people hopes to drum up at least $50,000 for a new microscope to allow Royal Children’s Hospital researchers to analyse solid tumours better.
Mr Duyvestyn, 38, has been throwing support behind ‘Cancer in Kids @ The Royal Children’s Hospital’ since he had cancer treatment when he was two.
He had surgery to remove a cancerous tumour, after which his family was told he had a 40-50 per cent chance of survival.
