DON’T be fooled by these wet, brown eyes. Werribee Open Range Zoo’s veterinary team had to be extra cautious when handling the sharp claws, serrated teeth and notoriously firm grip of six squirrel gliders during a check-up last week.
Three female and three males, including two-year-old Yahni (pictured), were weighed, had their teeth checked and received a tail fur trim by vets. Zoo spokeswoman Kym Carter said all the gliders were found to be in excellent condition.
