Sacked Linfox Laverton warehouse worker reinstated

A sacked Linfox worker employed under the company’s indigenous program has been reinstated after his plight was reported by the Weekly.

Werribee South’s Michael Hogan, a picker and packer at the company’s Laverton warehouse, was the only National Union of Workers member among four employees laid off prior to their period of employment reaching six months, after which time they are entitled to claim unfair dismissal. The week after our story, Mr Hogan was re-employed.
