Footy brawn backs Bravehearts

MASCOTS from Wyndhamvale Football Club and child protection charity Bravehearts joined forces at Saturday’s WRFL clash between the Falcons and Manor Lakes Storm at Wyndhamvale Reserve.

The mascots (pictured) joined in the action on the sidelines and raised awareness of child sex assaults in the community.

The initiative kicked off when Wyndhamvale nominated Bravehearts as its chosen charity.

Club president John Willaton said the Falcons had committed to holding regular collections at home games and would donate proceeds from some functions to Bravehearts.

‘‘Being a community club, Wyndhamvale was looking to put back into the community through a chosen charity,” he said.
