Tarneit gets funds for new library

WYNDHAM council has received $750,000 from the state government to help build a new library at Tarneit.

The $6.95 million library will be built at the Tarneit Community and Learning Centre, with the council to provide the rest of the funding.

Western Metropolitan Liberal MP Bernie Finn said the new library would benefit the rapidly growing communities of Tarneit, Truganina and Williams Landing.

It will include telecommuting space, dedicated IT areas and a host of resources, including DVDs and e-books.
