Werribee house ransack confession

A WERRIBEE man has admitted ransacking a house following a “drug deal gone wrong”.

Last Wednesday, Werribee Magistrates Court heard Christopher Wilkinson broke into a Werribee house on March 9, stealing a DVD player, cameras and car parts before the victim arrived home.

Wilkinson attempted to drive off in a ute loaded with the goods, but police were called and arrested him.

Magistrate John Bentley ordered an assessment of a community corrections order relating to a separate criminal matter, stating “if it’s anything less than perfect, I’ll consider jail”.

Wilkinson will reappear at Sunshine Magistrates Court for sentencing later this month.
