Orphans sing for hope at Point Cook Senior College

AFRICAN rhythms and contemporary gospel music will ring out from Point Cook Senior College next week when the internationally renowned Watoto Children’s Choir takes to the stage for its only Wyndham performance.

The choir comprises orphaned children living in Watoto children’s villages in Uganda. Watoto founder and pastor Gary Skinner says the performance is a chance for people to hear vibrant African music and life-changing stories.

“Through the choir’s concert of hope, we share a message of transformation by telling the story of Africa’s rescued orphans and women.”

The concerts began in the US in September 2011 and the choirs have travelled to Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand.

The choir  performs in Point Cook on Tuesday, July 30, at 7pm.  Details: watoto.com/the-choir/see-the-choir.
