THERE were goals galore in the Football Federation Victoria men’s state knockout cup quarter finals last night.
Twenty-one goals were scored across four games on an entertaining night and that did not include penalty shoot-outs.
Werribee City’s clash with Dandenong Thunder went the distance at George Andrews Reserve.
After full time the sides were locked at 3-3 and needed a shoot-out to decide the team to advance to the semi-finals.
It would be the Thunder who held their nerve, winning the shoot-out 6-5.
The Bees will turn their attention to the men’s state league 1, where they remain in the promotion hunt.
