After playing for
Manchester City, Stoke City and Brisbane Roar, former Socceroo Danny
Tiatto has settled with his family in Point Cook.
What’s your favourite place to grab a coffee and a bite to eat?
I enjoy grabbing a coffee at the Coffee Club in Point Cook Town
Centre. It’s a nice place to start my day, read the paper and have
something for breakfast.
What’s your favourite neighbourhood retreat?
It would have to be the Saltwater Reserve, where I train and play
for Point Cook Soccer Club. I also head down there with my young sons to
play and kick the football.
What would you like to see changed in your neighbourhood?
The main thing would probably be increased road infrastructure.
Developing easier routes in and out of Point Cook is much needed,
especially for commuters.
What wouldn’t you change?
Point Cook and Sanctuary Lakes are secure and safe neighbourhoods.
There are never any dramas and we just need to ensure we look after the
area. Everyone who lives here seems to enjoy it – it’s just a really
nice part of the western suburbs.
Funniest moment while out and about?
Something that always gives me a laugh is a round of golf with my
mate Joe Spiteri, another former Socceroo, at Sanctuary Lakes Golf Club.
It’s fair to say each time he tees off it’s quite funny and every house
in the area is in severe danger.
