Werribee Tigers open the Victorian Football League season with a tough road trip to take on reigning premiers Box Hill Hawks on Saturday.
It will be coach John Lamont’s first official game in charge of the Tigers, and it doesn’t get much tougher with the Hawks coming off a big win over Williamstown.
The Tigers will be taking some impressive form into the contest, having won all four of their preseason matches, including a 13-point victory over Sandringham in the final hit-out at Moorabbin on Saturday.
