CONCERT: Jack Gramski | Intimate, live and local

Patrons can expect audience participation when Werribee singer-songwriter Jack Gramski performs at the Wyndham Cultural Centre later this month.

Gramski will share original folk songs and stories with audience members seated on the stage. His work combines, folk, blues, punk and dark humour. Gramski has entertained crowds at events including the Newstead Folk Festival and the National Folk Festival, where he placed second in last year’s Folk Alliance awards.

Live at the Stage is a cabaret-style show and part of Wyndham council’s Music in our City program, which aims to make live performances more accessible.

Cr Adele Hegedich says the program will also promote local music of all genres to fans of all ages.

‘‘But you don’t have to be an art or music lover to come along,’’ she said.

‘‘Live at the Stage is a great opportunity for people to experience exceptional works by a local artist from a different viewpoint, and to be involved in something different and unique.”

Live at the Stage is on May 30. Tickets cost $20.
