Excavator, trailer stolen
Police are appealing for information after an excavator and trailer were stolen from a construction site at the intersection of Forsyth and Old Geelong roads, Hoppers Crossing. The items were taken from the site between 11.30pm on January 14 and 6am the following day. The aluminium tandem trailer’s registration number is 21379. Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
Truganina speed hump bid fails Residents of a Truganina street have lost their bid to have speed humps installed. Wyndham council rejected a petition signed by 11 residents of Locksley Drive who were concerned about speeding vehicles in their street. The council said that the speed and volume of traffic did not warrant the installation of speed humps.
Evrah Drive development approved
Plans by a Hoppers Crossing developer for two double-storey houses to be built at 39 Evrah Drive were approved by Wyndham council. Two previous applicants for four double-storey dwellings on the site were knocked back by the council, which felt the application was an over-development of the site.
