GDFL: Werribee Centrals come back fighting

Still reeling from a shock loss to Corio a week earlier, Werribee Centrals could ill afford to drop points to Geelong West in the Geelong and District Football League.

Star forward Tyren Montebruno did everything in his powers to ensure the seventh-placed Centurions did not slide further down the standings by wowing the home fans at Galvin Park in a 39-point win on Saturday.

Five goals to Daniel Boyd meant it was far from a one-man show.

The Centurions this week play Anakie.
