Police have arrested a man after he fled a fast-food drive thru in Altona North in an allegedly stolen truck on Friday morning .
It’s believed a white truck was stolen in Footscray about 5.15am on 16 January and then driven towards Altona North where the male driver stopped at a McDonalds on the corner of Blackshaws and Millers roads to get some breakfast.
Unbeknownst to the driver, police had been tracking the vehicle and deployed stop sticks at the drive thru exit.
With a warm breakfast – but flat tyres – the driver continued down Blackshaws Road before coming to a stop on Chambers Road where he was arrested.
He came to a stop on Chambers Road where he was arrested.
The 39-year-old Hoppers Crossing man was taken into custody where he will be interviewed.
