Delays expected with Werribee Main Road works

Motorists who use Werribee Main Road are being urged to plan ahead as maintenance works are currently underway and causing disruptions.

Between now and 10 February, several sections of the road will be closed between 7pm-6am as asphalt resurfacing and line marking to restore the road’s condition is carried out.

Only local traffic will be permitted between Tarneit Road and Derrimut Road, as well as between Wedge Street South and Watton Street.

Signed detours will be in place.

No on-street parking in the work area while the maintenance is carried out is allowed, periods of high noise levels, vibrations and dust should be expected.

Speeds will be reduced in certain sections to keep crews and road users safe, and motorists should allow up to 26 extra minutes of travel time to their journeys.
