Free travel for carers

Victorian carers can explore Melbourne and regional Victoria with free travel during National Carers Week from Sunday, October 12 to Saturday, October 18.

Victorian carers will need to carry their Victorian Carer Card (‘We Care’) or an Australian Government Pensioner Concession Card (CAR code) with them on public transport, and tap on and off as usual with their carer myki.

Myki fares won’t be docked during this period.

Free travel during this period covers all public transport in Victoria, including Melbourne’s trains, trams and buses and regional trains, coaches and buses (including regional town buses and inter-town buses).

However, some private bus operators, airport services and privately operated tourist trains and buses are excluded.

Plan a journey at: https://transport.vic.gov.au/journey or call 1800 800 007.
