Police are investigating a stabbing in Wyndham Vale on Thursday, September 4.
Emergency services were called after a woman was located with stab wounds on Arbory Walk about 5.05pm.
The 27-year-old Melbourne woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
It is understood the male offender fled the scene.
At this stage, it is believed the parties are known to each other.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated.
