Police arrested a motorcyclist allegedly riding over double the speed limit in Altona Meadows on the morning of Wednesday, August 20.
Officers spotted the rider on Central Avenue, travelling at an alleged speed of 144km/h in a 60km/h zone, just after 1am.
Air Wing followed the motorcyclist as he allegedly continued along footpaths and through parks into Point Cook.
The rider travelled back towards Altona Meadows, where he pulled over outside a property on Point Cook Road.
The 23-year-old Laverton man, who was unlicensed, is expected to be charged on summons with driving offences.
His unregistered motorbike was impounded at a cost of $999.52.
