A man has been arrested after allegedly ramming a police vehicle in Tarneit during the early hours of Wednesday, March 12.

Officers said they saw the driver of a Ford Ranger allegedly swerving all over the road on the Princes Freeway near Laverton about 1am.

The driver allegedly continued to drive after police attempted to intercept the vehicle.

It’s alleged that the driver of the Ford narrowly missed colliding with a truck on Forsyth Road.

The driver eventually came to a complete stop on Dylan Street, before allegedly reversing into a police vehicle.

Officers moved in and the alleged driver, a 35-year-old man, surrendered to police and will be interviewed.
