Hoppers Crossing house fire to be investigated

Firefighters contained a house fire at Thorpe Avenue in Hoppers Crossing on the evening of Saturday, March 8.

Crews arrived at the property to find smoke and flames issuing from the second storey and roof of the weatherboard house and the response was escalated.

Fire Rescue Victoria confirmed that all occupants and pets were evacuated safely and assessed by Ambulance Victoria.

The fire was deemed under control by 11.33pm.

The cause of the fire is not yet known and will be investigated by FRV specialists.
