Horticultural workers will have the chance to learn more about keeping their body safe on the job when WorkSafe’s tour of the state for Health and Safety Month comes to Wyndham.
The Sound Body, Safe Work workshop will run at VEG Education in Werribee South on Thursday, October 24, focusing on the common hazards in horticulture and how to manage the risks.
Kicking off at 12.30pm participants will learn more about safe manual handling, noise exposure and fatigue risks, followed by an interactive panel discussion exploring local health and safety matters.
Guests will have the chance to ask questions and network with others in the industry over lunch before the workshop.
WorkSafe’s state-wide Health and Safety Month roadshow will be followed by a week-long series of webinars towards the end of October.
