Multicultural media outlets in Wyndham will have another opportunity to access funding from the state government.

Coming from the 2024-25 Multicultural Media Grants program, successful applicants will be eligible for grants of up to $25,000.

The state government said that the grants will aid with the cost of production and publication, equipment upgrades and training and development for volunteers and staff.

The state government also said that the funding will improve the quality of multicultural media services and expand their reach.

Multicultural Affairs Minister Ingrid Stitt welcomed the grants.

“This investment helps our multicultural media organisations to continue their role in amplifying the voices, stories and experiences of our vibrant state.”

“We know that in-language news and information, and representation of culturally diverse Victorians is essential to community cohesion.”

Applications close November 8.
