Truganina man arrested for serial shoplifting

A Truganina man was arrested on Sayers Road in Hoppers Crossing on the morning of Tuesday, September 17.

Fugitive Squad officers arrested the 26-year-old in conjunction with Geelong Liquor Licensing Unit in relation to an alleged shoplifting spree in Victoria and other states.

It is alleged that the man is responsible for stealing approximately $200,000 worth of goods, predominantly alcohol, between December 2023 and September 2024.

He has been charged with 102 counts of theft and remanded to appear at the Geelong Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, September 18.
