Kids attending one of Western United’s inaugural holiday camps on April 9, got an extra treat with both the club’s senior men’s and women’s teams training alongside them.
The joint training session at the regional football facility in Tarneit, was open to the public and held ahead the historic double header on Saturday April, where both teams play home games back to back.
While being put through their paces by WUFC academy and development centre coaching staff, kids participating in the camps were able to see the likes of Alana Cerne, Julia Sardo and Josh Risdon train up close.
Players then stayed back to sign autographs afterwards.
The April 13 double header begins with Western United’s men playing Central Coast Mariners, before the women’s team host Newcastle Jets in their first ever home final.
The Jets defeated Western United 1-3 in the very first A-League fixture in Tarneit last month.
