Two injured, one arrested after Werribee collision

Two people were taken to hospital and one man arrested following a two-car collision in Werribee on Monday.

It is understood a white Volkswagen lost control when it collided with a white Mazda on the Princes Highway about 12.40pm on April 8.

Police were told the Mazda went into a ditch and the VW hit a power pole and landed on its roof.

The driver of the Mazda was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the VW was arrested at the scene and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

He is currently assisting police with their investigation which remains ongoing.
