Pacific Werribee has been turned into a hub of wildlife conservation and exploration these school holidays.

In collaboration with Zoos Victoria and Werribee Open Range Zoo, the ‘Endangered Zone’ will offer children an opportunity to learn about the importance of protecting endangered species and their habitats.

Through engaging activities, participants will gain insight into the challenges faced by these animals and discover ways they can contribute to their preservation.

Attendees will also have the chance to encounter a lifelike tyrannosaurus rex, a highlight of Zoos Victoria’s ‘Dinos at the Zoo’ experience, exclusively shared with Pacific Werribee for this event.

Families are encouraged to immerse themselves in this educational and interactive experience, focusing on local endangered species and encounters with creatures from distant lands and times.

Zoos Victoria, including Werribee Open Range Zoo, is dedicated to safeguarding 27 Australian species facing extinction from various threats.

The ‘Endangered Zone’ seeks to address this by introducing the community to seven species on Zoos Victoria’s 27 priority local threatened species list, along with one prehistoric creature – the Tyrannosaurus rex.

Pacific Werribee’s general manager Ryan Ling said they are delighted to partner with Zoos Victoria,
