Teenagers charged after extended follow in Point Cook

Two teenagers have been charged after an extended police pursuit in Point Cook last month.

Police allege the pair were travelling in a stolen vehicle on Grassbird Drive about 2.20pm on October 31.

Officers successfully deployed stop sticks, but the offenders fled the vehicle.

They were arrested a short time later near a creek on Mill Pond Drive.

A 14-year-old Tarneit boy has been charged with theft of a motor-vehicle and dealing with the suspected proceeds of crime.

He will face a children’s court at a later date.

A 19-year-old Wyndham Vale man has been charged with theft of motor-vehicle, failing to stop, driving unsupervised, knowingly dealing with proceeds of crime and failing to answer bail.

He will appear at Werribee Magistrates’ Court on November 28.
