WRFL teams of the year revealed

All Western Region Football League teams of the year have been released.

Grand finalists Werribee Districts and Point Cook, along with Point Cook Centrals dominated the side with 11 of the 22 coming from the three teams.

Tigers’ coach Chris Gilham was also named coach of the year.

Other Tigers members included Sean Gregory at full back, Lachlan Rainbow at centre half forward, Trent Lee in the forward pocket and Dillon Viojo-Rainbow as an on-baller.

The Bulldogs players included Nicholas Buykx in the back pocket and he was also named captain of the side, Max Rouvray at full forward, Daniel Burton in the ruck and Luke Dahlhaus on the bench.

The Sharks players in the side were Haidyn Shade on the wing as well as Daniel Rosenzweig in the forward pocket.

In the division two side there were three Wyndhamvale players selected.

Oliver Brett and Aaron Mould teamed up across the back pocket and full back positions. While Jack Tessari was put in the half forward flank.

The division three side was full of Suns, Albanvale and Tarneit players.

From the Suns, Dean Cachia was named as coach of the side for a second straight year and at centre half forward. Peter Tomelty was named full back with Christopher Lear and Adam Scarpino in the half back flank and centre half back positions respectively.

Goal kicking star Daniel Hoovey was listed at full forward, while Patrick Hynes was named an on baller.

For the Cobras, Jacob Maschewski was named in the centre as well as captain of the side. Reece Duffield was named ruckman. Nathan Johson and Reece Field teamed up in the forward pocket and flank positions respectively. Defender Darren Borg was listed in the back pocket.

Both Titans players were named on the bench, Zach Thornton and Anthony Curtis.
