Police are hunting an inmate who escaped a minimum security prison in western Victoria.
Police said Daniel Briffa left Langi Kal Kal Prison in Trawalla “by unknown means” sometime between 7.30pm and 9.30pm on Monday.
The 50-year-old had been imprisoned for drug, theft and traffic related offences.
He is not believed to be violent but anyone who sees him should not approach him and ring triple-zero immediately.
Briffa is approximately 170cm tall, with short brown curly hair, a full beard and has tattoos on his lower legs.
He was last seen wearing a dark green tracksuit and is known to visit the Werribee, Hoppers Crossing and Tarneit areas.
