Wyndham council is hosting a free Volunteer Expo on Saturday.
The expo will feature a range of volunteer-involving organisations across all sectors.
There will be people on hand from community groups/organisations to provide information, answer questions and have a chat about volunteer positions on offer.
Wyndham mayor Susan McIntyre said the council is encouraging anyone who has thought of volunteering to come along to the Volunteer Expo and explore the opportunities that are available in your local community.
“Come and meet your local community groups and not-for-profit organisations who need your help,” she said.
“Volunteering has many benefits and is a great way to get involved in the local community, build social connections, make a difference, learn new skills and can be a pathway to employment.
“Volunteering brings people together; it builds communities and creates a better society for everyone.”
The event is free and will be at the Encore Events Centre between 10am-2pm.
