‘Surreal experience’ for Point Cook woman

A spur of the moment decision to apply to be a contestant on Millionaire Hot Seat paid off well for Peta Santullo.

The Point Cook resident took home $20,000 on the Monday, February 13 episode of the show.

“I’m one of those silly people that watches it every night, [being on the show] was on my bucket list,” Ms Santullo said.

“It was just an absolutely surreal experience, it took me about a week to realise [I had been on the show].”

Despite feeling “very nervous” on the night, Ms Santullo said the lovely staff helped settle her nerves, and residents contemplating applying should absolutely take the jump.

I just feel like you have to try and take yourself out of your confidence zone, I really don’t think you have to be super smart,” she said.

“You have a one in six chance, just push yourself, even if you don’t make it to the end it’s a fabulous experience.”

Ms Santullo said she credits life experience and a general knowledge of things for helping her earn her winnings.

“I want to tick off my bucket list, I’ve always wanted to go to Spain,” she said.
