The staff and residents at Manor Court Aged Care received an early Valentine’s surprise on Friday, February 10, with the delivery of 90 red roses and six bouquets.
The flowers were arranged by Pacific Werribee, and general manager Ryan Ling said the “heartfelt“ tradition began last year.
“We wanted to share the spirit of Valentine’s with the elderly community and nurses, the flowers were just a way we could share the love,“ Mr Ling said.
“We have loved the experience of meeting the residents, hearing their stories and seeing the look of surprise on their faces. We hope they cherish the moment as much as we have.“
Manor Court Werribee chief executive Linda Kensington said the delivery brought happiness and joy to the recipients.
“Thank you also for the stunning bouquets that adored our Care Home, everyone commented on how beautiful they are,“ she said.
“It certainly was a delightful surprise. A big thank you to Pacific Werribee for thinking of us.”
