Local business owners, entrepreneurs and innovators gathered at Encore Events Centre on Friday, February 3 to learn important skills from various experts.
The WYNovation Summit event featured talks from Amanda Stevens, who spoke of the importance of future proofing your brand, Dr Louise Mahler who shared tips and tricks to help audience members overcome performance stress and emphasised the importance of open body language.
Cancer researcher Tane Hunter and political economist and journalist Angus Hervey also provided professional insight and advice.
Mayor Susan McIntyre wrote in a Facebook post that the event was informative and enjoyable, and she loved meeting local business owners.
“The 2023 WYNovation Summit did not disappoint,” she said.

“Having a strong local economy is so crucial for our municipality.”
The Summit event kicked off the beginning of the annual WYNnovation festival, which seeks to provide the municipality’s business owners with an opportunity to learn from successful entrepreneurs, while also connecting with other businesses owners.
Residents can also attend The Masterclass event on Thursday, February 16, to hear from coach Mark Dobson in his presentation titled ‘A Clear Execution Path For Scaling, Revenue and People Performance’.
