Tarneit loses voters in re-distribution

The Tarneit electorate lost 16,786 voters following the re-division of state electoral boundaries made in 2020-21.

The seat takes in most of Tarneit, and parts of Mount Cottrell and Hoppers Crossing.

About 2446 voters from the Werribee District were gained in the re-distribution.

The candidates in ballet paper order are: Jaydeep Patel (New Democrats), Aijaz Moinuddin, Claudio Uribe (Victorian Socialists), Dylan Wright (Australian Labor Party), Clare Miller (Australian Greens), Thomas Jeffrey (Family First Victoria), Erum Maqsood (Freedom Party of Victoria), Preet Singh (Liberal), Maurita Rahn (Animal Justice Party).

The Victorian Electoral Commission’s two party preferred analysis estimates the Labor party will receive 67.9 per cent of votes, and the Liberal’s will take 32.1 per cent.
