With a reputation built on going the extra mile, early learning centre, Kids World, Point Cook opened last month. Enrolments are now open and the centre is filling fast.
Owners Kieran and Karen Armstrong founded Kids World five years ago, through Mr Armstrong’s prior experience they set out to make childcare more enjoyable and a better experience for families and children.
Skip forward five years, that’s exactly what they’ve done. Point Cook is their third centre to open and they also have locations in Geelong and Werribee.
“We think it’s the best place in the world, we’ve got our own little fellas that attend here and a great group of Educators to support everyone’s needs,” Mr Armstrong said.
“We understand that children are only young once, and we believe they deserve to enjoy themselves.”
Going above and beyond, the team schedules centre visits from dentists, doctors and hairdressers, easing the challenges parents face to squeeze in appointments during the week. They even send home the occasional dinners for busy families on the go.
Every so often Kids World stays open late so parents can spoil themselves with a much deserved evening off, whilst the children enjoy a cheeky pizza and movie night with their friends.
Educators at Kids World implement the Montessori and Reggio-Emilia teaching philosophies. Mr Armstrong says by combining the two philosophies, Kids World creates a harmony of play, structure and self development that really supports a child’s growing mind.
Montessori philosophy focuses on a structured style of learning, while Reggio-Emilia looks to uphold a more flexible learning style, highlighting a child’s curiosity and self expression. When visiting a Kids World learning space you can expect to see children thoroughly engaged in a learning experience focused on literacy or numeracy one day, then enjoying a pony ride or indoor skydiving the next. This is where they strike the highly desired balance of intentional teaching and learning through play.
Caring and educating children from six weeks old, until they head off to school, the team is experienced across the board. They understand all anxieties associated with starting care for the first time and they work extremely hard to ease them.
Choosing a childcare centre can be a particularly stressful experience for new parents, which is why the team commit themselves to helping families be confident with their decision. They also commit themselves to helping families navigate the whole process as it can be confusing at times.
With enrolments taken all year round its’ recommended to book a centre tour to see Kids World is the right fit for your child.
