Werribee made it two in a trot in the Bowls Victorian weekend pennant, division 2, section 1 on Saturday.
After a slow start to the season, the Bees have started to find some form with back-to-back wins against Hoppers and now Keilor.
On Saturday, the Bees put out a strong performance against Keilor, winning 90 (14)-83 (4).
For the Bees, Robert Smith and Brendan Barker were the winning skips, with Smith’s rink the standout on the day.
The win moves Werribee up to third on the ladder.
Meanwhile, Hoppers had a tough day out against Altona 2, losing 107 (18)-50 (0).
Stephen Bartlett’s rink was the best on the day, losing by three shots, with all the other rinks suffering massive losses.
Hoppers sits bottom without a win after the first five rounds.
In division 3, section 1, Palm Lake suffered a 107 (18)-65 (0) loss to Williamstown, while Werribee 2 lost to the City of Melbourne, 87 (14)-56 (4).
In division 4, section 1, Point Cook was too strong for Melton 3. Point Cook won 90 (16)-76 (2), with William Stewart’s rink the standout for Point Cook.
In the same section, Werribee 3 lost to Rosamond, 107 (16)-60 (2).
