The Bureau of Meteorology (the Bureau) is warning more rain and thunderstorms across Australia may lead to more river level rises and flooding in more areas.
“Rain and thunderstorms with heavy falls will spread across Victoria and New South Wales on Monday which could lead to renewed river level rises across Victoria,” the Bureau said.
Showers will continue in Victoria and Tasmania mid-week, the Bureau said.
The weather is likely to become more settled mid-week, though showers will continue in Victoria and Tasmania.
“Communities, especially those living on or near any rivers, creeks and streams or in low lying areas, are advised to stay up to date with the latest forecast and warnings via the Bureau’s website and the BOM Weather app, and to follow the advice of emergency services,” the Bureau said.
“Know your weather, know your risk.”
