Three teens charged following alleged assault

Police charged three teenagers following an assault in Hoppers Crossing.

Authorities were called to a shopping complex on Heaths Road after reports of a group of youths fighting about 5.40pm on Thursday, October 6.

A 14-year-old boy was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police said they were told the offenders fled the scene on foot, before three teenagers later handed themselves in.

Two 16-year-old boys from Hoppers Crossing and a 16-year-old Tarneit boy were charged with affray, recklessly causing injury, theft and weapons offences.

They’ve been bailed to appear in court at a later date.
