Is there a Wyndham resident in your life who has significantly contributed to the betterment of the municipality?

Nominations for the Wyndham Citizen and Young Citizen Awards will be open throughout the month of October.

Wyndham mayor Peter Maynard said the awards are a great opportunity to nominate someone you know who makes a difference in the Wyndham community.

“The awards recognise the outstanding contribution to the advancement and wellbeing of the Wyndham community,” Councillor Maynard said.

“This could include areas such as education, health, fundraising, charitable and voluntary services, business, sport, art, the environment and others.

“We know our community is filled with people doing amazing work to help others and

help make Wyndham a wonderful place to live.

“Council wants to encourage our residents to find, recognise and thank these very special people.

“These committed and passionate people deserve to be recognised for their efforts and these awards are a terrific way for us to say thank you.”

Young Citizen of the year is open for residents aged 16 – 25 years and the citizen of the year category is applicable for people aged 26 and above.

Nominations will be assessed by an independent judging panel, with the winners announced in early 2023.
