Man caught speeding 70km/h over the limit

A Truganina man was caught allegedly speeding 70km/h over the limit in Brooklyn on Wednesday, September 21.

The 40-year-old was observed by police allegedly travelling 158km/h in an 80 zone on the Princes Highway at about 10.30am.

Police say matters became worse for the driver when they found a young unrestrained child in the car.

The man allegedly told police he had an upset stomach and needed to go to the toilet.

The man will be charged on summons with speed dangerous, exceed speed limit and having an unrestrained child. He was also issued with a notice a notice to surrender his vehicle at a later date.
