Learning festival returns

The Wyndham Learning Festival is back for 2022 and will run from September 1-7 with a number of curated programs for members of the community.

The Wyndham Learning Festival is led by the Wyndham Community Education Centre and is supported by Wyndham council.

Council’s deputy mayor and learning city portfolio holder, Jasmine Hill the aim of the festival is to “bring people together through learning, motivate the community to try something new and to promote lifelong learning for all age groups”.

“With the theme this year of ‘Building a Resilient, Sustainable Wyndham’, the festival encompasses a huge array of events and activities for you to try something new and learn,” she said.

Council said the festival will be a celebration for the community on getting through a challenging time, re-emerging brighter and better, and building on their resilience into the future.

A ‘WynTalk’ event will take place on Saturday, September 3 from 2-5pm at the Encore Events Centre.

ABC presenter Jon Faine will interview a panel of four local residents who will share their experiences in relation to adversity, resilience and sustainability.

A mini sustainable expo will showcase local organisations as part of the signature WynTalk event.

There are still spots available for events, programs and activities and registration to run an event is open until July 9.
