For the Makers and Growers of Wyndham

A new monthly market will take place on Saturdays in Tarneit with local artists, producers and creators set to showcase their work.

The Tarneit Makers and Growers Market will take place at multiple community centres, from 11am-3pm on the fourth Saturday of each month.

Mayor Peter Maynard said the event was part of a series of free events taking place across Wyndham.

“I encourage you to head on down, catch up with friends, kick back and relax with a picnic and enjoy an amazing line up of local talent,” he said.

The market will provide high quality hand-made or designed textiles, stationery, ceramics, homewares and jewellery, as well as food trucks and live music.

Showcasing local businesses is an important feature of the market, and Cr Marcel Mahfoud said supporting them is a “top priority”.

“It’s exciting to see our community back out in the sun and supporting local by picking up some fresh produce or a gift for a loved one, while enjoying live music,” he said.

The next market will be held on Saturday, April 23, from 11-3pm at Tarneit Community Learning Centre, 150 Sunset Views Blvd, Tarneit.

Applications are open for stallholders to apply.
