Parents visiting Werribee Plaza are now being offered free identification wristbands for their children in case they lose each other in the shopping centre.
The wristbands, which were launched last Monday, mean if children become lost, they have their parents’ contact details on them at all times.
The wristbands also enable parents to label important information, such as any illnesses or allergies children may have, in case of an emergency.
Centre spokeswoman Rebecca Malivindi said the coloured wristbands were getting great feedback from parents.
“Many parents are worried about their children wandering off in a shopping centre,” Ms Malivindi said.
“If that happens, these wristbands are a great way for them to be easily identified and returned.
“They also give parents some peace of mind.”
The wristbands are available at the centre’s customer service desk.
