Signal renewals and tunnel inspections will cause major disruptions for train commuters this weekend.
Buses will replace trains on the Werribee line between North Melbourne and Newport Station from 9pm Friday March 4 until Sunday March 6.
Commuters are being warned to allow extra time to travel.
All public transport users must wear a fitted mask covering the nose and mouth for the entire journey.
