A new KFC restaurant will open in Tarneit North on the weekend, creating 40 job opportunities in the suburb.
The restaurant, owned by The Retzos Group and located on the corner of Derrimut and Dohertys roads, will open on Saturday, February 12.
With 15 of the team members joining from nearby KFC restaurants, the restaurant will be led by Dylan Hansen.
Mr Hansen has 16 years of experience working at KFC, including six of those spent as a restaurant manager nearby KFC Tarneit.
Sean McGregor and Zac Beveridge will both be stepping into the role of assistant restaurant manager, after having worked with KFC for 16 and six years, respectively.
Mr Hansen said: “The arrival of KFC in Tarneit North is really exciting for the whole team, and for local KFC fans who are now able to get their hands on the Colonel’s delicious Kentucky Fried Chicken right here at home.
“The new restaurant is in a prime location for both locals, students and those passing through town.”

As employees progress in their KFC career, they are also offered opportunities to take on registered traineeships, participate in a range of initiatives and enrol in a KFC-specific diploma of leadership and management curriculum.
The new KFC Tarneit North will be open Monday to Sunday from 10.30am to 10pm.
