Teenager dies after Tarneit crash

A teenager has died in hospital following a single-vehicle crash in Tarneit on Monday, February 7.

Police said they believe a black sedan was travelling along Tarneit Road when it crashed near the intersection of Ankuri Road, about 2am.

The car then burst into flames.

Emergency services responded and extinguished the fire before taking the sole occupant of the vehicle, 19-year-old Tarneit man, to hospital with critical injuries, where he later died.

Police are investigating the crash and urge anyone who witnessed the sedan travelling in the lead-up to the incident to come forward.
